For student of Arabic and Islamic scholars, we highly recommend supplementing the listening of Islamic audio books in Arabic to the reading of physical Arabic books. It has been a game-changer for us and a incredible way to make our time productive while commuting or walking.
Amidst the many disadvantages of modern-day technology, there remain many advantages for the seeker of knowledge. Many classical texts have been recorded in a beautiful, melodious manner that a seeker may benefit from while walking and travelling, thereby benefiting from our rich tradition and ensuring good use of time. Making use of time is transformative; it ensures all of our time becomes worship and knowledge seeking. Time is an irreplaceable gift—many scholars have dedicated books to the subject matter. Shaykh Abdul Fattah Abu Ghuddah (1917–1997) has a dedicated treatise called ‘The Value of Time in the Eyes of Scholars’.
Find below links to a list of audio books that we have benefitted. By no intention, it is exhaustive but merely a drop in the ocean. These are the audios we have heard and benefitted from. Many of the great hadith collections such as Sunan Abi Dawud are also available on audio.
