Course Details

Join us as we dive into the depths of classical Hanafī jurisprudence with this weekly online sessions for sisters only. This course offers a focused study on selected parts of two foundational texts, providing both a historical and practical understanding of Islamic law:

Al-Mabsūṭ: A commentary on Kitāb al-Asl by Imām Muhammad bin Hasan al-Shaybānī, exploring the profound principles of Kitāb al-Siyar (the Book of Conduct). This section delves into matters related to international relations, treaties, and ethics in interactions beyond the Muslim community.

Radd al-Muhtār by Ibn Ābidīn al-Shāmī: Engage with the intricate legal discussions in Kitāb al-Nikāh (the Book of Marriage) and Kitāb al-Talāq (the Book of Divorce). These chapters provide critical insights into family law and its applications within the Hanafī framework.

This course is open to all sisters and designed to simplify complex topics for easy understanding.

Attending live is highly encouraged for all students, however recordings will be available for circumstances where attending live isn’t possible.

ʿĀlimah Maseeha Saloojee

Maseeha Saloojee studied ‘ālimiyyah and hifdh at Jāmi’ah Sheikh Zakariyyah Lil Banāt, where she completed Bukhārī in 2012 under Mawlana Zubair Bikha and Mufti Radā’ ul-Haq. She thereafter pursued tajwīd and qirā’ah under Qārī Muhammad Binyāmīn, completing the ten modes of qirā’ah with him.

In 2015 she relocated to Idlib, Syria where she gained ijāzah in the eighteen books of ahādīth and in Muqaddimah ibn Salāh from Shaykh Abdurrazzāq Al-Mahdī Al-Dimashqī.

She continues her studies as an iftā research student under Muftī Abdurrahmān Mangera and Muftī Zubair Patel, as well as specializing in the science of Qurānic text under Qārī Muhammad Binyāmīn.

In 2019, she founded Dār al-‘Ilm, a pre-and primary school recognised for its Academic merit that specializes in Qurānic studies in Northern Syria, which caters to 450 Syrian refugees.
