This session takes you on a practical and thought-provoking journey through how the Sharīʿah was divinely crafted, not for one place or generation but for all times and people.
We’ll start by exploring the difference between divine revelation and human law, and how Sharīʿah stands firm and just where man-made systems often change with trends and politics.
You’ll then dive into the four core sources of Sharīʿah, discovering how they work together to preserve guidance through time, made easy to understand with examples from real-life situations women face: property rights, family ties, contracts, or workplace ethics.
Drawing inspiration from Imām Zarqā’s al-Madkhal al-Fiqhī al-ʿĀmm, we’ll uncover the core legal principles that shape our daily rulings, presented in a clear, relatable way that connects the theory of fiqh to lived experience.
Finally, we’ll look at why differences of opinion exist among scholars and how this diversity is not a source of confusion but a reflection of mercy and depth in our Sharīʿah.
By the end of the session, you’ll walk away with a renewed appreciation for the Sharīʿah, seeing it as a coherent, compassionate, and enduring system that continues to bring meaning and balance to our lives today.
Recording will not be available for this session, students are expected to attend live.
