Ramadan is only a couple of weeks away and the blessed guest will soon be upon us. Each year we should aspire for Ramadan to be our best yet. What are some of the jurisprudence means we can harness to achieve the most out of this blessed guest?

This webinar will outline the Fiqh rulings pertaining to fasting as well as discussing the rules pertaining to menstruation.

The fiqh of menstruation is among those sciences which are mandatory for every Muslim woman to comprehend and understand as numerous rulings of shari’ah stem from it such as taharah (purification), salah (prayer), sawm (fasting), tilawah (recitation of the Qur’an) etc.

 

Objectives:

By the end of the webinar, students would have:

  • Understood the rules pertaining to Fasting (Sawm) in the month of Ramadhan
  • Understood what nullifies the fast and what does not nullify it
  • Understood the rulings of Qadha, Kaffarah and Fidyah
  • Understood the Fiqh of Menstruation (Hayd) in relation to fasting

On completion of the course, a short assessment will be given to test students’ understanding.

 

Instructor’s Biography:
Born in London, raised in Preston, Ustadha Sadiyah Rawat began her A’limiyyah studies in 2011 at Madrasatul Imam Muhammad Zakariyah (founded by Shaykh ul Hadith Mawlana Yusuf Motala). Here she studied Islamic sciences with Arabic language and literature under the likes of Mufti Imran Desai, Mawlana Saeed Ahmad and many honourable Apas.

Since graduating in 2017, she has been teaching at Madrasatul Ta’leemul Quran at Masjid e Falah (a local Madrasah). Ustadhah is currently teaching a comprehensive Sanatayn course (Fiqh, Tafseer, Seerah etc) for young adults and ladies in the evenings.  She is also an instructor for Lubab Academy where she is teaching a sisters Islamic Fundamentals Course and has previously taught a series of Tafsir classes through SiblingsOfIlm.

Ustadhah Sadiyah is a student of BSc Psychology at University of Central Lancashire and Islamic Psychology at Al Balagh Academy. She continues to further her studies and is regularly taking on new opportunities.
